WHAT IS THE 2ND 90 THINK TANK FORUM ON HIV?
A focus on HIV ARV TreatmentThe 2nd 90 Think Tank Forum on HIV is an IAS 2017 (9th International Conference on HIV Science affiliated event) hosted at The Venue – Greenpark, Sandton on 14th July, 2017. It is a follow up to the 1st 90 Think Tank on HIV (AIDS2016 affiliated event - July 2016) and a second installment in the 90-90-90 Think Tank on HIV dialogue that seek to shine a light on the UNAIDS 90-90-90 HIV Targets program; where each ‘90’ gets its own forum. This is in recognition with the fact that each of the ‘90’ environments has challenges that ultimately pose a threat to realizing the ultimate goal of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets to end new HIV infections by 2030.
In the 2nd 90 Think Tank Forum, the dialogue will place emphasis on ‘Treatment’ by exploring bottlenecks in access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), system readiness for increased numbers of patients under ART, ART drug supply and demand, measurement systems and tools, best practice standards, patient beliefs and behaviors, TB/HIV Isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT) & treatment, policy (NSP, NDP), implementation, advocacy and more. |

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Unique & savvy solutions to hit the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targetsThe 909090 Think Tank Forums seek to foster a “real world” analysis of each of the '90' environments, with hopes of exposing opportunities as leverage to reach the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets.
We encourage tapping into new solutions through knowledge sharing, collaboration and stakeholder engagement, even across entities that would sometimes sit on opposite ends of the table in the HIV & AIDS dialogue. |
